unable to edit a language

After installing D7 everything went well. Made a copy of the english language file...  compiled it. But i"m unable to edit the file...  no entry key appears! Translation of the lang-en file is not possible...  Tell me how i can edit the language file.  If this can't be solved i will never buy a license and wil stay by osDate.

Have you done translating by admin section - language settings ?

No, tryed to do that. Problem is that I can't edit the English language. No keywords available

I created the Dutch language based on the English language file and tryed to start translation, just as I did in version 6.1.6

There I got a list with keywords and translated them in Dutch. Here in D7 I dont get any keyword after using the edit mode to translate. Only the keyword search is working. But dont tell me I have to search for every keyword to translate. I want the list so I can work on.

Just tell me why it is not possible for the latest stable version of Dolphin 7 to simple translate the lang-en.php file and import it as a lang-xx.php file. It should be as simple as that.
