unable to run video ( any flash component)

Maybe your hosting is Arvixe, if yes, they did not install RMS 7. You have to wait for this.

You need RMS runing for all your flash aplications/files.

I am having the same problem but it had worked for the beta versions and just not for the rc version so i dont think it is a problem with my host, does anyone have any other ideas what it can be?

Well if it was working with the beta RC versions, then it will work with the final. I was running the betas and done a new install with the final, activated everything and set up the flash module using the IP, ports that I was given for the RMS server and all is running fine except for the video comments and I will approach that after they install RMS 7. I do not use the Board, so it would not matter if it there or not.

Check all of your settings again, make sure that your ffmpeg.exe is CHMOD to 755 or 777. Then check again and again.

RMS is used for audio/video functions for IM, Chat , and video comments, and boards. RMS is not needed to play video or music files, just an FYI.
