upgrade 7.0.x to 7.1... here we go again!

Decided to resurrect and old site I built pre 7.1 as people have been using it even after leaving it on the shelf for over a year.

First hurdle came with the first update to 7.1.0 - modules start producing errors...

updated all the modules etc.. made sure everything was in order, still issues.

So, decided to jump to 7.1.1 and work my way up to .4 before tackling module issues.

7.1.1 done fine.

7.1.2 - get to the /upgrade action and I get redirected to a user profile!!!

Check on upgrade folder, all good, find the member profile it was redirecting to as it was a spam member who slipped through the net, delete it, clear cache try again the upgrade command... now page not found.

Why would /upgrade be directing to a non existent members profile???!

Might have to scrap this and rebuild from scratch which is a major pain in the arse... lots of site data, lots of real users, business listings etc.... lots of work. Why cant a simple script upgrade be 'simple'!

Make sure there is no profile that has the name upgrade, is about all that I can think of what it would be doing that...

nope not that. I did the upgrade from 7.0.x to 7.1, then to 7.1.1 fine. Only when I tried to go to 7.1.2 did this happen!

Make sure there is no profile that has the name upgrade, is about all that I can think of what it would be doing that...
