That's the full download - can't be used to upgrade. Download the actual patch here: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/7.1.5-7.1.6 BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |

Shit, i uploaded the full 7.1.6 to my website, is this a problem? I changed some files.... Depends. If there were core file changes, those have likely been lost. You'll need to re-apply them or restore the site from backup. Otherwise, you can try continuing by uploading the patch files and running the upgrade script. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
I've made those kind of mistakes here before. When you are doing any type of upgrade or install, especially with Boonex, read and reread the instructions and make sure you understand what needs to be done BEFORE you start ... It will save you endless hours of extra work.... If you have ANY questions, post them in the appropriate forum and the other members here will be more than happy to help you out. http://towtalk.net ... Hosted by Zarconia.net! |
I just tried the update and it said it was successful, clear the cache, and it still wants me to upgrade to 7.16... |
I just tried the update and it said it was successful, clear the cache, and it still wants me to upgrade to 7.16... Did you update the build number in /inc/header.inc.php? BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
During the upgrade page, at the bottom... did you read what requires to change? In that case, you probably missed it. Only need to manual edit the header.inc.php in inc folder. Change 5 to 6. |
No, I did not see it, just what was I suppose to change, I tried to run the upgrade again so I could see it, But it will not let me... |

Ok, I must be doing something wrong, I edit line 3 to 7.1.6 But at top of the page in the admin panel it still wants me to upgrade to 7.1.6 I also cleared the cache... [ver] needs to be 7.1. [build] needs to be 6. So:
$site['ver'] = '7.1';
$site['build'] = '6'; BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
I have been here awhile and even I clicked on the full download link. Boonex, please make this change on the page: Download Dolphin Pro 7.1.6 Full Version Download Dolphin Pro 7.1.6 Upgrade
This is not the first time people have downloaded the full version thinking they were getting the upgrade version. Remember the KISS principle. Placing the link to the patch in the instructions is OK, but on that blog post you should have directly linked to the upgrade. Geeks, making the world a better place |
I think that got it, Thank you... |
I load the patch 7.1.6 upload. |
I load the patch 7.1.6 upload. /httpsdocs is considered the root directory for the site, so it isn't a part of the URL. So the URL would be: meine-seite.com/info/upgrade/
Make sure the .htaccess file is deleted from the /upgrade directory. Also clear your cookies - that usually resolves this kind of error. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |

with other browser upgrade had worked on 7.1.6. everything ok Thanks |
have a problem with upgrading to 7.1.6 dolpin |
have a problem with upgrading to 7.1.6 dolpin What version are you currently on? You can only upgrade from the immediately previous version. So for example: Dolphin 7.1.4 => 7.1.5 => 7.1.6. You can't upgrade from 7.1.4 to 7.1.6. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
both sides 7.1.5 |
I think the script does not accept two update on a domain. I may have to delete the supdomain ?? |
I think the script does not accept two update on a domain. I may have to delete the supdomain ?? yes, they can, two different sites, two different databases. Geeks, making the world a better place |
hi geek_girl message comes from the server: Not Found the following message appears; |
7.1.5-7.1.6 update can not be applied,
How can I deal with this problem Boonex? It maybe update is already applied, or maybe you didn't changed version in inc/header.inc.php file during the previous site update. Please check what is Dolphin version is specified in inc/header.inc.php file: $site['ver'] = '7.1'; $site['build'] = '6'; and compare it to the version in the database: SELECT * FROM `sys_options` WHERE `Name` LIKE 'sys_tmp_version'; they must match! Sometimes reading the posts here can be a lot of fun. It's kinda like smoking a joint, taking a cooler of beer to the local boat ramp, sitting in a lawn chair and watching people sink their boats at the dock.... Ever see someone standing on a boat dock with their water skis on, holding onto a tow rope, yell out to the speed boat, "Make it happen captain!" Then then the "Captain" guns it while the dude on the dock waits for the substantial slack to be taken out of the rope. Welches Problem haben Sie? Kann ich Ihnen helfen? |

is now complicated. have Automatic Updates in Plesk, where dolphin install is
|
database 7.1.4
If the database states 7.1.4, then you know the upgrade to 7.1.5 did not go as it should have went because the upgrade scripts updates the version in the database. You could backup the database and the site files and try to run the 7.1.4 to 7.1.5 upgrade again. And delete the 7.1.6 upgrade directory before trying to upload the 7.1.5 upgrade Geeks, making the world a better place |
Actually, the best way for you to approach this would be to restore the site and database from the 7.1.4 backups if you created them. Then proceed to upgrade. However, if you have had site content added, then this method would lose all new site content since you attempted the upgrade from 7.1.4. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Thanks for you |
It all works well from 7.1.4 to 7:15 to 7:16 |

hi geek_girl,
|
Bumping this as I downloaded the full version (as well) instead of the patch.
Good job I decided to put on the sunglasses and stick around to see what's been happening in the forum.
Upgrade Instructions from 7.1.5 to 7.1.6 http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/7.1.5-7.1.6
Download and extract the Patch Dolphin-Patch-v.7.1.6 http://get.boonex.com/Dolphin-Patch-v.7.1.6
Then go back and read upgrade instructions.
Then check all modules are compatible.
Double check; get some sleep and get back to the instructions when feeling fresh.

hi |
It can't.. You have to manually change that when you run the upgrade. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
I had updated to 7.1.6 |
And when you updated you were supposed to edit header.Inc.php and manually change the version number. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
Always find after end of the link "7.1.5-7.1.6" in link http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/7.1.5-7.1.6 when you are upgrading the site and follow the instructions carefully.. it will go smoothly. This update closes a reported security vulnerability also includes fixes for social sharing and YouTube video embeds however minor file is overwritten. "Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow." @ www.dexpertz.net |
I had already successfully updated to 7.1.6 |
and those changes took effect, but for the boonex dolphin website to know that so it doesn't keep reporting there is a new update you have to manually change the file as has been stated over and over. Read up, modify the file, and you are done. |
