I've just had my site updated to 7.0.7 and noticed that the site was generating quite a bit more email to members than usual. When I investigated I discovered that one of the settings in Membership settings was reset during upgrade to the default. The "Notify members about membership expiration only once (every day otherwise): " <- so my members have been getting daily emails pestering them instead of the one reminder.
I've set it back to how I want it now, not that huge of a problem in and of itself, but I'm a little worried about not knowing what is affected by the update - I would have never noticed this one if it wasn't something that generates a periodic report (and if a member hadn't msged me complaining about the number of emails he was getting). I'd checked the basic settings & advanced settings after update to make sure that things were ok, fixed the language keys, fixed the other cosmetic things that the upgrade affected. But I'm concerned that there are sooooooooooooo many settings that I've tweaked for the site to run the way we want to in the first place that I may miss something that was reset by the upgrade.
Is there anyway to get a list of the settings impacted by the upgrade - either this one or to request such a list for future upgrades? |
