user/guest permissions?

How do you provide members permissions to only view the links?  For example, I'm logged out and I can still contact members, view their pictures, post things, etc.  I want only members having that option.  I tried Admin/Builders/Nav. Menu (turning every link into member only) but still doesn't work.

Please help.

In admin under Settings click on Membership Levels. In the "window Manage Membership Types" click on non member and Membership Actions will pop up below that window. Delete and set the actions you want for non member.

FYI deleting the action will not affect the action if you want to set it back.

Well...i'm working on it.  The non member only have like 4 permissions.  It seemed like I was doing much more when I wasn't logged in.

I think you also have to turn off "Site is running in free mode" under membership levels.

I tried the same now to make sure guests couldn't read members' blogs, pictures, etc. Worked fine, but is it possible to hide the content of articles, groups and news from guests but keep the head lines on the front page?
