users log off and still remain online even after an hour goes by

I recently was wondering why all users in the database have the online status.... there is a bug somewhere...

I manually turned them all to offline... it did the job for the most part....

then i logged out of my account....

an hour later i went back to the website.. I was not logged in but it had that yellow circle above my avatar saying i was online...

am i doing something wrong here?

is there a fix for this?

I would really like one.. so i do not have to manaually put people who log off to offline status over and over again.

admin panel/ advanced settings/other/   then find Time period in minutes within which a member is considered to be online:change to the amount of time you want users Golden bulb to stay alight . I think this is correct ..

Well it isnt that making you show online for an hour :O) cause the 1 represents a minute ....

perhaps its just an issue because you are on a local machine ask some of your members if they are having the same problem..
