using multiple memberships - is it possible?

Is there a way to enable users to be able to purchase and use multiple membership levels?

By doing this I mean that they will be able to purchase membership A that may give access to forums

and then ALSO purchase membership B that may give access to blogs.

I need it so that you can purchase BOTH without the 2nd purchase canceling out the first as it currently does...

I think the default setting is that if you purchase 'A', followed by 'B', it is setup as an upgrade and replaces the previous membership level. I need it to be an add-on so both levels privileges can be accessed.

Why not just use the membership levels?  In your example, are you saying that membership level A gives access to forums but not blogs, and membership level B gives access to blogs and not forums?    I have a hard time imagining that working in the real world.  It seems like everything would go more smoothly if membership level B was an upgrade that included. both.

My 'problem' or challenge ;-) Im facing is a site that has lots and I mean lots of instructors 'selling' access to streaming video pages.

the way I have this worked out is using an upgraded articles mod.

I can add an article, embed the video to it and give that individual article access rights only by any chosen membership level.

But, I have some members who are wanting to access 2-3 different instructors and therefore need 2-3 different membership levels of access.

I could work it so there is every possible combination on offer, but with the amount of instructors I could end up with, this would just become a mess and far to complicated for members to get their heads round!

Perfect solution would be if members could 'buy' page access as a purchase and not as a membership level...
