v 6.x -> v 7.x

I am just in the process of developing a new site.  I had a rather large and expensive list of mods that I was going to buy to turn the site from a basic dolpin site to what I'm looking for.  Now, looking at the features of 7 it looks like many of the mods I wanted are going to be out of the box with 7.

My instinct is to wait for 7 but that could be many months and I'd prefer not to wait that long so I'm going to go ahead with a very lightly modified version of 6.  I'm wondering a few things though:

1 - Exactly what data from 6 will easily migrate to 7?  I know that there are going to be migration issues from other threads that I've read but I'd like to know which areas will easily migrate because I won't allow much/any content to be developed in the areas that wont.  For example, my major areas for my initial launch will be profiles, articles and a custom page.  I realize that the custom page will not be able to do a direct migration and that I may, in fact, have to completely recreate it when I launch the 7 version (depending on DB structure) but I'm ok with that.  If the standard stuff will migrate that will work for me.

2 - Is there a description of the "store" functionality anywhere?  Is this going to be a full featured e-store where I can sell a few thousand digital products or is it going to be something very basic?  I'm asking because I couldn't find a store integration for 6.x so I was going to build an OS commerce site and link to it.  However if the new site store is going to be fully functioning I'll just wait on that and in the mean time get my products ready to post.

3 - Am I correct in assuming that I should not enter much information or do much customization to any of the Beta versions because it's likely they'll have to be recreated with the final version launch?

Thanks in advance for any response.  I did do a lot of reading but couldn't always find complete answers.
