Question time!

  1. What exactly is happening (describe the error)?
    • Are you just getting a black screen?
  2. Who is your hosting provider?

That's all.

It would seem the video isn't processing, then. Make sure your cron job is properly configured. Also make sure your file and directory permissions are in order. For Arvixe, it's:

  • Files: 644
  • Directories: 755
  • /inc/: 555
  • ffmpeg.exe: 755

You should be getting emails from the cron daemon when your cron job runs. Are you?

You may also want to try changing your cron command to look like this:

/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/hardtime/public_html/periodic/cron.php

Not all servers will work with the default command.

Try one of the different cron job inputs in this topic: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/topic/Troubleshooting-Crons-Videos-Migrations-RMS.htm.

There's a bug that causes links to stop working correctly depending on how you access the topic. Just copy the link's text and paste it into your browser's address bar.

Then just go to the Dolphin 7 Forums area. Its a sticky post at the very top called:

does arvixe support not assist you with something like this?

am running 7.0 and when i up load a video it will not play,, is this the right cron job for videos

cd /home/hardtime/public_html/periodic; /usr/local/bin/php -q cron.php

they are the premier hosting service according to the adverts on this site, surely Arvand can assist with a cron job issue? or do they actually support dolphin?

I've come to realize in the past few days that they prefer dumping everything onto "it's an issue with your script, not us." They do this even for database connection issues and killed cron jobs.
