Message from my hosting company:

Hello,

The error lies with Dolphin not giving the proper extension to the uploaded files. If you would manually rename the uploaded videos and give them proper extensions, this should temporarily correct the error.

But for a permanent fix, please contact Dolphin support.

Hi guy's still no joy with the video upload? can any please help......Yell

I'm having this same issue. Joombyte has been working for over 12 hours now to fix the problem. The files end up with a number and no extention or with the extention of temp EX:1.temp. I preserved the original files in the settings so that I could compare the 2. You have to pay a lot of money for this Ray Media Service, You would think they have support for it if you HAVE to use it. I would just prefer to use WMV files and forget the convert process. This is very stressfull.

You spend 998$ for premium support even more money for hosting, and then even more money for RM Service! and you get 0 support from them and have to search the www for answers yourself!

This sucks

the files appear to not be getting converted correctly. that is why there is no extension assigned. your server may be timing out on you.

I agree with DosDawg.

First question would be how large is the video file you are trying to upload?

Second question is have you tried uploading a smaller file, such as one from YouTube?

Third question is what is the max upload allowed by your php configuration, you can check that by creating and uploading a phpinfo file. Usually this should not be an issue, however, depending on your answer to the first question, it could be the issue.

And as DosDawg said, the server could be timing out on you, in that case, you would need to ask your host provider what the allowed time for uploads is or look in the phpinfo and if too low, ask the host provider to increase it for you.

Good Luck,

Damion
