videos staying in "Not processed" status

Hello,

I have checked the how to regarding this issue and validated that all prerequisites are present. The video upload/conversion was working but now when uploading a video, it stays in status "not processed".

I tried to run the cron.php manually but it looks like it doesn't do anything.

Can someone help me troubleshoot this?

Hi,

I found using putty.exe and SSH into you website and typing in "top -c" and then setting your cron to every ten mins and watch the timer in the upper left hits the :10 or :20 or 30: etc etc point the cron will show up. Then watch your memory read out  - this help me determine that it was a memory/cpu problem and was able to fix it.

Just an FYI: don't know if it will help you - hope so.

I tested your proposal without noticing anything. In fact it looks like as if nothing happens when the cron.php runs. Even no error.

I can see the file uploaded in flash/modules/video/files without extension.

Maybe you can add a mass mail in queue so if it works then your cron does run. You can focus on some other things after that to find the problem.

so much to do....

If you're getting the email every night at midnight showing your site was cleaned up then your cron is working.. if your not getting that email then it isn't running.

Thank you Prashank25 and mscott. You helped me find the issue by identifying that the cron service itself was stuck.

After having it reset and restarted the videos are now processed and I am getting periodic reports again as well.
