what should I do if I found out I bought Mods which was stolen

Hello Everyone,

Yes, I am frustrate with bad people, crooks and scam artists.

I want to know to whom should I contact beside posting at this forums and I wonder if the dolphin team care about bad members in their network, which steal and rop mods from other developers and selling them with out support. This happened to me.

This is bad for all of us

what should I do or we can do to get these bad people out

thanks

Aren't you an active one today. If you believe some kind of theft has taken place, alert the original developer.

And just because the mods are similar, does not mean they are actually the same product. I just want to make that clear to limit the amount of annoyance from you and others.

I do have a couple of concerns here:

- When you decided to purchase these mod(s) from this individual, did you not check the Market place to see if they were original owner? If you and a member here at Unity communicated some other way (such as email) and you were offered 3rd party mod(s) at a 'discounted' price from them, that should have automatically alerted you that something wasn't right. This is not normal behavior of a true developer here that sell in the Market place.

- If this was the case, you will have to chalk this up to a 'lesson learned'. You should ALWAYS check the Market listings for validations.

- If these modules actually were posted in the Market place (by this member), then we have a totally different situation on our hands and should immediately be reported to Andrew Boon

- As Magnussoft stated, you must be 100% positive of your accusations and willing to supply proof when/if requested.

What should be done:

Depending on 'how' this transaction took place and if your accusations are correct:

- If found to be true, the member who sold you the stolen modules should be reported to BoonEx for evaluation. Andrew Boon will decided on any disciplinary actions that should be implemented. (If not decided by a moderator first). Do Not post this member's information in this forum topic as it will do nothing but cause unnecessary disturbance. Any and all information should be sent to Andrew Boon. If you need a Moderator's assistance, you may contact one of us via email here at Unity.

- You should NEVER purchase ANYTHING from members here at Unity before checking into. You can always go to the member profile page and see if they are a Market Trader (have modules listed in the Market).

- The actual owner of the module(s) you purchased are not required to provide you support and/or upgrades since these were purchased without owner permission.

Nothing to see here

Hello Very details and good plan for discussion.

First of all, I posted in the job for hired, the developer said he can do it. how do new members know what to do and how to search when I am confuse and so happy that someone help.

How do i know it is stolen?

After it installed, it not working the way it should, i when to admin/modules look at the mods and developer name, it is not the name of the person that sold me the mod

Also the developers not very smart. If i am a developer, I make sure I support my product to the end of it, i will not want other developers to work on my mods and maybe steal it from me. That is how others developers get free mods when helping clients who do not have support from the mods owners.

I just want to protect the innocents, I already lost. NO big deal

Why should i lie or making thing up for ? I have no time to wasted.

I let this case rest.

If boonex want details info I will be happy to relase evidents and name of these people and payment transactions

great day.

thanks
