Changing currency $ sign to GBP

Hi,

I know there's so many thread about this but it's hard to  choose the right one, i need to change the $ sign to the GBP in the ads or any place i could find it.

Change Currency Code to: Eur

Change Currency Sign to: £

Ive done that but it doesn't change it in --------------> Custom Values price $ at ads

The payment module does not seem to affect the ads module so there's no sense changing the currency there. The work-around is actually in the category manager. Go to the main category e.g Cars for sale then click "Edit" link. Change value for Unit 1 field from $ to PHP and click the "Edit" button (it should have been Save button btw). In the next screen, click the Save button.
