Split "Quick Links" from "Navigation Bar"

Hi there,

is possible to split the "quick links" from the "navigation bar"?

because if you remove one item from the navigation bar it dissapears from quick links, and there is no possibility to make it only in quick links, or i cant find it.

You can make it only in navigation bar, but not only in quick links...

Thanks!

Yes, you are correct.  Quick Links work off of the navigation bar; you can choose or not choose for the menu item to be in quick links.  There is no way to access the Quick Links with the builders.  Is it just one item you wish to have in quick links and not in the navigation menu?

There is not an easy way.  A solution is going to mean making code changes and custom work.  What you could do is to make your own quick links box where you manually add the menu items.

Maybe someone else will come in and have a solution.

what about leaving them in the nav bar but make them hidden for both members and guests

I haven't tried it, but it should theoretically work

yes, I searched before asking....

It hides it in the quick links as well.

the only thing i have found is making changes to the boonex code.

i think the easiest way will be to add a html block code with all buttons manually as you said..

If you need any help with adding the links let me know.  Deano has a module in the market that might make it easier to add the links, I assume his link block module can link within Dolphin navigational links; ask Deano for more information:

Check the Forums here. There is a post by Deano on how to have a menu item not show up in the main nav menu, but still show up in a submenu. This may help to resolve your issue as well.
