module install problem 403 error

Hi,

I have recently downloaded and installed the newest version of dolphin 7.0.9

Installation was successful...

In the dashboard I then went to tools>modules and installed

News version 1.0.9 by Boonex

Photos version 1.0.9 by Boonex

The message came back that they were installed..

So I went to Modules>news and I get...

Forbidden

You do not have permission to access this document.

the link looks like: sitename.com/m/news/admin

and I also tried modules>photos and get the same error

the link to that is: sitename.com/m/photos/administration

I noticed I do not have a m directory when I check it via ftp but I do have a modules directory. Does that have anything to do with the errors I am getting?

Any help appreciated.

Nope.

Either you missed the .htaccess file when you uploaded dolphin. ,htaccess is normally a hidden file on some systems so it can be easily missed. So check the root of your dolphin site and make sure it is there.

Or. The server is not meeting the requirements to run dolphin.

Server must be setup to process .htacess files. Requires apache have the mod_rewrite module loaded and configured to AllowOverrides. This server part is a hosting issue you should talk to your host about.

This has been covered in the forums quite a bit.
